The NEWFOUNDLAND PANTERA LONG ONLY fund is a long-only Brazilian equities investment fund, focused on finding opportunities to generate returns above the benchmark (Ibovespa) in the long-term, through an uncorrelated portfolio. Positions are defined through a fundamental analysis process and often supported by quantitative data intelligence in synergy with other Newfoundland products.
The portfolio management is performed by the same investment team that developed the Newfoundland Terranova Fund - whose successful 15-year track record reinforces the firm's expertise in investing in Latin America's highly complex environment. Therefore, decisions are made and monitored by an investment committee that brings together decades of experience investing in the region and building an extensive network.
Extensive experience in hedge fund management in the region ensures a keen eye for highly asymmetric investments, with highly strategic assets and clear potential catalysts. Thus, the portfolio has minimal overlap with the Ibovespa and other competing local funds.
